Audition Information
You DO NOT need to have previous a cappella experience to audition for the Fallen
Angels! Singers of all levels are welcome to audition for our group. The process
begins with preliminary auditions, in which we will run you through some voice exercises
to get a better feel for your singing timbre and range. We also ask you to prepare
a short solo to perform for us. It can be anything from "Happy Birthday" to an operatic
aria - any song is fine, as long as you will enjoy singing it to us, because we
want your audition process to be relaxed and enjoyable.
Following preliminary auditions, a group of auditionees will be called back for
additional rounds of auditions which will include learning some parts of our arrangements
and singing with the Fallen Angels, in addition to some more solo work, so we can
get a better sense of your personal style. This is the chance where you can get
to know the Angels better and where we can get to know you as well!
If you have auditioned before, we definitely encourage you to audition again. We
are a constantly evolving group and thus our need for various voices changes each
semester as well.
